Who can attend?

This formal dance is for all homeschoolers in high school, ages 14 and up. Previous homeschool graduates may attend the year after graduation as a gap year guest. We understand that some guests of the homeschoolers may be over 18 years of age and will be approved on a case-by-case basis. Public and private school kids are permitted to attend ONLY as a homeschooler's guest. Absolutely no one under the age of 14 is allowed to attend - we are working to put together a separate middle school dance for them.

Dress Code:

A high school prom is the perfect opportunity for you to dress your best!

Formal attire is required for all guests.

Ladies - we highly encourage you to wear a beautiful, modest, full-length formal gown. If you feel more comfortable with a shorter option, formal dresses must be at or below the knee. No super high slits, low/plunging necklines, revealing/see-thru parts, goth wear, or costumes. Thin spaghetti straps, one-sided straps, and some strapless options are fine as long as they remain formal and classy. Dress shoes are preferred option upon arrival. You can bring socks, cowgirl boots, flip flops, sneakers to change into when the dance floor opens later in the night.

Gentlemen - a full formal suit is the preferred option. You can wear dress pants, a buttoned dress shirt with a tie, and dress shoes. Suit jacket is not required. As for dress shoes, we do prefer them upon arrival but we also understand that it might be difficult to find them. You can wear new, clean, trendy sneakers IF that is your only option. Absolutely NO jeans, gym/work pants, goth wear, or costumes.

**Special Note** - biological born male guests are not allowed to dress as females and biological born females are not allowed to dress as males.

If you do not agree with everything in our dress code policy, you might want to hold off on attending the dance.

Seating Information:

After your ticket reservation has been approved and we've received your payment, there will be an email sent with the Sign Up Genius link to reserve seating.

Kids are only seated at their assigned tables for 15-20 minutes to eat their meal after food stations open.

We make name place cards for everyone at their assigned tables, mainly for the waitstaff and allergy concerns. They are not to be rearranged or thrown on the ground.

*deadline for seating: April 15th

Class of 2027 Seniors:

Please let us know if you're a high school senior when reserving a ticket.

We honor all of the seniors by praying for them and handing out senior gifts at the beginning of the dance.

We will have a large digital frame in the foyer that will display the senior photos on a continuous loop. After check-in, that frame is moved from the foyer to the senior gift table.

*deadline for sending senior photo: April 25th

Music & Dancing:

Song Requests - we will no longer offer a song request form. Song requests will not be taken by our DJ at the dance. A set playlist will be made in advance and will include the clean versions of popular fun dance songs.

Dance Floor - disrespectful behavior while on the dance floor will not be tolerated. No inappropriate dancing/grinding. No crowd surfing or sitting on the shoulders of someone else. No ripping off t-shirts and throwing them around. No hitting the chandelier. No food or drink allowed. No crowding the DJ table.

Safety Information:

Our number one priority is keeping everyone safe at the event.

Security will be provided by the venue as well as chaperones by the MagBall planning team.

Chaperones will enforce our Event Policies and will be authorized to remove anyone that is not adhering to those policies. They will call parents if needed.

If your child has to grab an item from their vehicle during the event, a chaperone will gladly assist them to/from the parking lot.

If your child has to leave the event early, we will need a written text or email in advance for approval. We will add their name to the early dismissal list and give it to our chaperones at the front door for security purposes.
